【摘要】:1.1Thispracticeestablishesthecontrolsrequiredforextrusionpresssolutionheattreatmentofthe6xxxand7xxxseriesaluminumalloysinwhenASTMmaterialspecificationsallowuseofthisprocessinlieuoffurnacesolutionheattreatment.Forthealloyslistedin,thispracticeisanalternateprocesstosolutionheattreatmentinafurnace,suchasspecifiedinPracticeB918fortheattainmentofT3,T4,T6,T7,T8andT9-typetempers(seeANSIH35.1).1.2Thispracticeappliesonlytoextrusionpresssolutionheattreatmentforaluminumalloys.Precipitationhardening(aging)processingandequipmentcalibrationshallmeetthepracticeandrequirementsofPracticeB918.1.3Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandards.TheSIunitsareshowninbracketsorinseparatetables.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththepractice.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
