【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesgenericcablingthatsupportsawiderangeofcommunicationsservicesforusewithinadatacentre.Itcoversbalancedcablingandopticalfibrecabling.ThisEuropeanStandardisbaseduponandreferencestherequirementsofEN50173-1.ThisEuropeanStandardcontainsadditionalrequirementsthatareappropriatetodatacentresinwhichthedistanceoverwhichcommunicationsserviceshavetobedistributedisthemaximumdefinedforbackbonecablingimplementationswithinEN50173-1.TheprinciplesofthisEuropeanStandardmayalsobeappliedtoinstallationsthatdonotfallwithinthisrange.InadditiontotherequirementsofEN50173-1,thisEuropeanStandardspecifies:a)amodifiedstructureandconfigurationforgenericcablingwithindatacentresusedtosupportexistingandemergingapplications;b)implementationoptionstoreflectthequantityofconnectionsrequiredindatacentreinfrastructures;c)requirementsthatreflecttherangeofoperatingenvironmentswithindatacentres.Safety(electricalsafetyandprotection,fire,opticalpoweretc.)andelectromagneticcompatibility(EMC)requirementsareoutsidethescopeofthisEuropeanStandardandarecoveredbyotherstandardsandregulations.However,informationgiveninthisEuropeanStandardmaybeofassistanceinmeetingthesestandardsandregulations.
